Crash locations now available for everyone to view

The mapping team at Noosa Council have developed a free and easy to use mapping service that pin points crash sites in the shire dating back to 2001. This visual map will help with road infrastructure planning and the data could potentially be used to study the effect that variables, such as the built environment and time of day, have on traffic accidents. If you have Google Earth installed (free to download and use), then this and more spatial data is available to staff and the public free of charge and can be located for download on Council’s Open Data portal (click on the image below).
